Graduation Announcement
A custom graduation announcement designed to capture personality over formality.
The Challenge
Every graduation announcement template out there looks the same. They are polished and formal, but ultimately pretty generic. This graduate is obsessed with his truck and couldn't wait to be done with school. He needed something that actually felt like him.
The Approach
Instead of a refined script font, I went with blocky, rough-edged typography and a tongue-in-cheek headline. The goal was to make people who know him laugh while still marking the occasion.
The Result
The final design is playful and personal and most importantly feels authentic to him. This was also one of my first projects to see through to print, which was really cool.
